The Orchestra

Chiswick Chamber Orchestra

Chiswick Chamber Orchestra was founded in 2024 to bring together talented local musicians and fill St Michael and All Angels church with the glorious sounds of the chamber music repertoire.

Our maiden performances, playing all six of Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos over two Sundays in February 2025, were a great success. These concerts were part of the celebration of 150 years of Bedford Park and raised £3,500 for The St Michael’s Heritage Conservation Fund. All the musicians enjoyed playing this wonderful music and our audiences of over 210 people for each performance loved listening to it.

We are now busy planning our next three concerts, all at St Michael and All Angels, Bedford Park. The first will be held on Sunday 23rd November at 4pm when we will be performing Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Ralph Vaughan Williams’s Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis. Iwona Boesche will be our director and soloist and Father Fabrizio Pesce will be reading from Vivaldi’s sonneti.

The second is a Children’s Christmas Concert on Sunday 7th December at 3:30pm when we will be performing two favourites, Kleinsinger’s Tubby the Tuba and Prokoviev’s Peter and the Wolf.

The next concert will be our first for 2026 on 1st February at 3pm when pianist Viv McLean will play Mozart’s piano concerto No. 21 as part of an all-Mozart programme conducted by Sandy Burnett.

Tickets for all concerts are available for booking on the Ticket Sales page.
