Chiswick Chamber Orchestra was founded in 2024 to bring together talented local musicians and fill St Michael and All Angels church with the glorious sounds of the chamber music repertoire.
Our maiden performances, playing all six of Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos over two Sundays in February 2025, were a great success. These concerts were part of the celebration of 150 years of Bedford Park and raised £3,500 for The St Michael’s Heritage Conservation Fund. All the musicians enjoyed playing this wonderful music and our audiences of over 210 people for each performance loved listening to it.
On Sunday 23rd November we performed Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Ralph Vaughan Williams’s Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis to over 160 people and, in addition to “filling St Michael’s with the glorious sounds of a chamber music orchestra”, we raised £2,000 for The St Michael’s Heritage Conservation Fund.
At our Children’s Christmas Concert on Sunday 7th December we performed two favourites, Kleinsinger’s Tubby the Tuba and Prokoviev’s Peter and the Wolf and raised over £1,000 for The St Michael’s Heritage Conservation Fund.
Our first concert for 2026 on 1st February at 3pm, featured local pianist Viv McLean playing Mozart’s piano concerto No. 21 as part of an all-Mozart programme conducted by Sandy Burnett and raised £1,500 for The St Michael’s Heritage Conservation Fund.
We have an exciting programme for 2026/2027 with concerts on 22nd November 2026 and 7th February 2027 and a Beethoven weekend on 2nd to 4th April 2027. See our Concerts page for further details.
Tickets will be available for booking later in the year on the Ticket Sales page.
